The main aim of the photo contest taken place within the framework of “Clean castle” project is to promote the principle of “green thinking”, to draw the attention of young people to the beauty of our historically ancient and modern city and its preservation.
Zakir Ibrahimov – the company’s Chairman of the Board especially mentioned the role of attention paid by the government to the field of ecology and the environment at the event of “Clean City” at Q Gallery. He also emphasized that this area is always in the spotlight of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Z.Ibrahimov told about the importance of the project named “Clean Castle” on waste management carried by the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation since 2010, the awareness events within the project and mentioned that “Clean City” exhibition-contest is the continuation of these series of events.
Chairman of the Board said that he hoped the event would be a push approach to the protection of the environment and maintaining the city with great care and clean by the citizens and mentioned the importance of protecting ecological balance in our capital and at the same time very beautiful modern city with ancient history and rich resources.
Along with photos that show the amazing parts of Baku, there are some photos depicting polluted places by people. The aim of the exhibition is to call the citizens and the guests of our city to protect this beauty together.
It should be noted that, more than 300 photos were submitted to the photo contest taken place from 20th of November to 10th of December 2013, covering topics such as waste recycling, re-use and the development of environmental awareness. 50 photos had been chosen among these photos by the jury and exhibited.
The exhibition will be on 21st, 22nd and 23rd of February.
